UK gets credit-card sized Samsung p300

Samsung launches super thin mobile phone

Nine months after details first surfaced on the web, Samsung has announced that it is launching its ultra-thin credit card sized mobile phone in the UK.

Although Samsung hasn't promoted its new P300 mobile as the "world's"
anything, it's definitely one of the tiniest mobiles available.

The P300 is the size of a credit card, and is just 9mm thick, weighing 81g.

However getting it to that thickness hasn't meant that the company has left out any multimedia features. It still manages to pack in a 1.3MP camera with flash and zoom, an MP3 player supporting MP3/ACC/ACC+/e-ACC formats, video recorder with playback and video messaging capabilities, and 80MB of memory.

Bundled with the phone is a black leather case and Carphonewarehouse are already offering the handset for free with certain tariffs.
