God of War 3 £17.99 from Play.com

The bloodier the better?

With the just-released Call of Duty: Black Ops, gaming has featured quite heavily in our tech deal slot of late, however when we saw that God of War 3, which was launched earlier in the year, is on sale at Play.com for £17.99 we thought it our duty to tell you about it.

This monumental hack-and-slash action game, is an absolute cracker scoring a whopping 9/10 in our review and ensuring that the current God of War series finishes on a high.

As our very own reviewer put it: "Technically, God of War III is another knockout blow from Sony, featuring some of the most dazzling scenery and lush effects we've seen on the current crop of consoles".
