Tablets are launching left right and centre, but one we're particularly looking forward to is the BlackBerry PlayBook, which should be launching in around February 2011 with a very competitive price.

Manufactured by RIM, the new tablet will be launched in the US for as little as $500, according to RIM’s Co-CEO Jim Ballsillie, stating in an interview in Seoul today that it would be "very competitively priced". This means that if the price is directly translated to the UK, we can expect it to come in for around £310.

The new PlayBook looks to be a bit of a cracker, coming with 7-inch 1024 x 600 WSVGA, capacitive touch screen with full multi-touch, a 1 GHz dual-core processor 1GB RAM and 3-MP front facing, 5-MP rear facing cameras with support for 1080p HD video recording.

Ballsillie went on to say that, despite Apple ruling the tablet roost and tablets coming in from the likes of Samsung, HP and Acer, the iPad dominated arena will “change when we’re in the market”.
