3D televisions are set to make a big splash this year, if CES 2010 in Las Vegas is anything to go by - and true to form Samsung is leading the way with a range of 3D-ready LED TVs.

Heading the lineup is the Samsung LED C9000, an absolute whopper with a 55-inch screen, 16:9 aspect ratio and full 1080p high-def resolution. It's also no slouch with a 2ms response time and 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

With this kind of spec it looks to be a winner, but the real draw for anyone with the cash is just how thin it is, measuring around 34mm.

Connectivity is taken care of with 4x HDMI sockets, 2x USB and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance).

Another addition is that of a Wi-Fi remote which has a second screen on which to view content, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio - time will tell whether this acts as more of a gimmick than a useful aid for your TV viewing.

We're not sure about pricing, but think thousands rather than hundreds.
