Sky One is giving you yet another reason to buy an HD settop box by bringing Robbie Williams to our screen as you've never seen him before.

In the first UK live concert broadcast, Sky will broadcast Robbie Williams' Live at Leeds concert on 9 September 2006 live in the HD format.

High Definitions is more often used to broadcast sports games; Sky is broadcasting the Ryder Cup and World Cup this summer, as well as cricket matches.

Robbie Williams' show, which is part of his Close Encounters tour, is directed by Hamish Hamilton and produced by Lee Lodge for Done and Dusted, a music production team who have also worked with Madonna and Britney Spears.

Robbie Williams said, "It's great to be working with Sky. I've seen High Definition television and it looks great. It will capture the atmosphere of the concert in ways that a traditional broadcast couldn't".
