Techies will be pleased to hear that Sonic is launching Roxio Labs so that users can test the latest cutting-edge digital media applications before the full version are released.

At http://www.roxiolabs.com, consumers can download emerging technologies and provide feedback to shape the next generation of Roxio software.

Already on site is the chance to try out MyTVtoGo, which lets users transfer TV shows recorded on Windows Media Center to their portable device, whether it be an iPod, PSP, or Smartphone.

Other products to be tested are the Roxio MediaTicker, a desktop widget that lets you view your digital images without running a power-hungry application, and Sightspeed, which facilitates video conferencing and video mail.
