It's been some time coming, but US company Bose is to release its first ever single-ear Bluetooth headset, that will hook up to a mobile phone, in the beginning of 2011.
The device, simply titled the Bose Bluetooth Headset, uses proprietary audio technologies designed by the manufacturer, such as an enhanced version of its TriPort acoustic headphone structure, optimised for speech reproduction, and Adaptive Audio Adjustment - which measures incoming speech and background noise, and adjusts voice levels automatically.
It will also be compatible with Bluetooth 2.1 devices, and those that work on earlier standards.
The headset also comes with the company's new StayHear tips, as seen on its current range of in-ear buds, and has an easy to reach on/off slider, plus volume and call buttons rather than requiring sequences of presses to perform functions, like with some rivals.
Coming in a protective case, and with three different tip sizes (small, medium and large), the Bose Bluetooth Headset will be in stores from 10 January 2011, costing £119.
Use a Bluetooth headset for calls? If so, what type? Let us know in the comments below...
