We covered the launch of Fairsharemusic.com back in June, but thought the ethical music download site could do with another mention as it is partnered with some top UK charities.

The site has over 10 million tracks in its data base, ranging from classic tracks to modern hits, so in that respect it differs very little from your regular music download site.

However, for every track you download fairsharemusic.com will donate half of its net profit to a UK charity, and the more you download the more it donates. The charities include Amnesty International, British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, Centrepoint, Friends of the Earth, Great Ormond Street Hospital, NSPCC, Oxfam, Sue Ryder Care, Teenage Cancer Trust and WWF.

You'll also get a digital locker, where your music is stored; enabling you to download the same track onto other devices up to five times.

Not only that, but there's currently some exclusive albums to be had on the site. Included in the lineup is a recently launched Centrepoint album, called 1969:Key To Change, which is an exclusive album of iconic 1969 cover versions, recorded by some music legends of today and yesteryear including Jools Holland, Bernard Sumner from New Order, The Feeling and Ian Brown.

Tracks start from 79p - so around 3p of that will go to the charity - and the site appears to be pretty easy to use, so searching and downloading tracks straight to your music library should be a doddle. If you're going to pay for your music, you may as well make sure a portion goes to a good cause.

You can take a look for yourself here; you never know, you might see something you like.
