Fuji has announced the official UK arrival of its latest FinePix compact camera - the Fuji FinePix F300EXR.

Boasting a 15x optical zoom, the camera is still relatively compact, measuring in at at 103.5 x 59.2 x 32.5mm.

It's a 12-megapixel camera with a second-generation 0.5-inch Super CCD EXR sensor and it can also shoot 720p HD video at 24fps.

On board you'll find a hybrid auto-focus system with face detection (with face recognition of up to eight people) and phase detection, which is useful for bright, high-contrast shooting.

On the back you'll find a 3-inch, 460k-dot, LCD screen with a wide view filter and the F300EXR also has a motion panorama 360-degree mode for landscape shooting. There's a HDMI output too, for viewing your images on video on your TV.

The Fuji FinePix F300EXR is out now, with an RRP of £329.
