Rescued 33 given iPods by Steve Jobs

Chilean miners: Apple to the rescue

Getting stuck down that hole was the best thing that ever happened to those miners.

Not only are they enjoying world-wide fame, are in line for a big compensation payout, and have been invited to watch both Manchester United and Real Madrid play - they've also been sent an iPod each, courtesy of the turtle-necked saint, Steve Jobs.

The miners are quite a teched-up troupe now then - they were given PSPs by Sony whilst they were stuck to pass the time as well.

It hasn't yet been established which iPod model the miners have got - let's just hope that Jobs didn't scrimp by posting them shuffles.

The new nano is the least we'd expect after being stuck underground for more than 2 months.
