HTC Desire customers on the Three network, your big moment has arrived...well nearly, at least.
The official Three data and news Twitter feed has just posted to say that Froyo will be making it onto your handset at 16:00 Taiwan time on 14 October. That's 9am UK time.
The tweet states that HTC has confirmed that version 2.25.771.1 of Android is all geared up and ready to go.
When HTC first announced the Froyo upgrade back at the end of July it stated:
"As well as including the complete set of Android 2.2 features, the update will contain a few special additions of our own through the latest iteration of HTC Sense.
"The update will provide 720p video capture, HTC’s App Share widget, as well as our enhanced HTC Caller ID, and improved multi-language keyboard. Also, through the update, HTC Sync will allow HTC Desire users to sync their music with iTunes.
"HTC Desire users will be notified that the over-the-air update is available to download when their phone automatically checks for software updates. The update won’t delete any of the phone’s content. However, due to the size of the update, we would advise using a Wi-Fi connection to download it wherever possible to avoid additional data charges".
So there you have it. It's Froyo fun all of the way.
Are you a Three HTC Desire user? Let us know if and when you receive the update and how it works out for you. In the meantime, say your goodbyes to Eclair - you guys have been through a lot together.
