LG unchains the world's biggest 3D TV

LG has unleashed an absolute beast of a TV, the world's largest commercial LCD 3D set - the LG 72LEX9.

As you've probably guessed from the model number, this behemoth beauty of a TV is a 72-incher. Basically, if you haven't got an absolutely massive living room, then it's not going to work out.

The display is LED backlit, and on board the 72LEX9 is packing all of the usual high-end LG features such as DLNA compliance and web TV via NetCast.

The display is a True-Motion panel with a refresh rate of 480Hz.

The 72LEX9 is expected to hit South Korean stores first, with a general release in Q2 2011.

Prices aren't yet confirmed, but a few UK-based online retailers are already listing the TV - priced at around £4500.
