Fry on Windows Phone 7: "Fun to play with!"

The ultimate Apple fanboi turns up at Microsoft launch event

Fry on Windows Phone 7:

11 October 2010 15:39 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Stephen Fry, the ultimate fanboi of smartphone love, turned up at the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 launch to trash Microsoft's Windows Mobile heritage and praise the new WP7 handsets, claiming they are "fun to play with".

Praising the iPhone at the same time, and clarifying, a number of times, that he wasn't there on Microsoft's buck, Fry suggested that you had to be "very stony-hearted not to welcome Windows Phone 7".

"Yes, I love Apple", claimed Fry. "But I want diversity".

Claiming that he won't go over to Windows Phone 7 exclusively, Fry said that in his other pockets will be a BlackBerry Torch, an iPhone and, of course, a brand new Windows Phone 7.

Oh, to be Stephen Fry. And to have such deep pockets.
