Hugely depressing it may be, but Banksy's The Simpsons opening sequence is a work of satirical brilliance.

Aired for the first time in the US last night, the episode that opens with Banksy's intro, MoneyBart, is to be shown on UK screens on 21 October 2010. It sees Lisa become coach of Bart's little league baseball team, as they go on an unbeaten run.

However, it is Banksy's effort that is gaining all of the publicity. He is the first artist invited to create new opening titles, although lampooning the Fox Network is common place for the show.

We at Pocket-lint think it's quite simply brilliant.

What do you think of the clip? And who else would you like to see direct an opening sequence for The Simpsons? Let us know in the comments below...
