Shazam offers chance to meet Take That

8 October 2010 13:22 GMT / By Rik Henderson

Take That, with Robbie Williams back in the fold, will release their new single "The Flood" on 14 November digitally, 15 November in shops, and music discovery provider Shazam has combined with record company Polydor to offer the chance to meet the boys (men?) after a special performance.

The Golden Tag competition asks entrants to use Shazam on their mobile devices to tag the band's forthcoming track whenever they hear it between 8 October and 21 November. Successful taggers will then be entered into a randomly-chosen prize draw, with the winner finding out on 29 November 2010.

They will then be whisked off to attend a special Take That performance, followed by an exclusive meet and greet with Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and, yep, Robbie.

The competition will work with all versions of the iPhone and iPod touch Shazam application, including the free one, although it should be remembered that users are limited to five tags a month unless they upgrade to a premium edition.

Full terms and conditions of the competition are available on Shazam.com, and entrants must be over 18 years of age. Mind you, from what we've seen of the front row of a Take That concert, that shouldn't be an issue. Only joshing!

Check out the brief teaser for "The Flood" above to find out what you should be listening for...
