It seems that all of the big AV players want in on the AirPlay action.
First Marantz unveiled its Melody Media all-in-one, which it claimed was "the world's first AirPlay certified music system".
And now Denon has detailed its early AirPlay ambitions with an announcement that three of its AV receivers are in-line for an AirPlay software update - the AVR-4311, the AVR-3311 and the AVR-A100 - as well as its CEOL Network Music System.
The feature update will appear via the Denon website in November, and will be available for a fee (price still to be confirmed but should be around £40).
Achim Schulz, product marketing manager of Denon Europe said:
"Denon’s mission is to bring our customers the very best home entertainment experience. This includes our effort for maximum compatibility with all of today’s home entertainment content and source components".
"The added AirPlay feature is another example for our great relationships with a variety of streaming partners and our advanced engineering. Denon products with upgraded AirPlay feature combine Denon’s advanced sound technologies with content flexibility and take the home entertainment experience to the next level".
