Computers are about to get even more secure protection with the Snappy Face Recogniser.

Using advanced face recognition technology, the device records and recognises an existing PC user’s face so that you can log in without the need for remembering passwords.

Widget, who has imported the unit, says the "product is ideal for preventing children, family members, co-workers and other workstation users from gaining un-authorised access to your computer."

Snappy face recogniser weighs just 120 grams, can capture still images at 1200x1024 and video at 640x480. It uses face authentication technology along with a 1.3 megapixel intelligent webcam and three "live" animated screen savers to protect your computer

The Snappy Face Recogniser, is available from widget.co.uk and costs £49.98.
