We knew that the HTC Desire HD was coming in October, we just didn't know the exact date.
But, now we do, thanks to Vodafone who has revealed its plans for the device and opened up a pre-order page on its website.
The Android 2.2 handset will be landing on 14 October - on Vodafone at least, who were touted as the launch partner when it was first announced.
In case you've missed all the HTC Desire HD news, what you're looking at is a 4.3-inch touchscreen smartphone with the new HTC Sense offering DNLA sharing and 720p HD video capture. The monster handset sports a 1GHz processor and measures in at 123 x 68 x 11.8mm.
Around the back is an 8-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash and autofocus and it comes with both Dolby Mobile and SRS, to give a "front row" media experience.
All the normal connectivity is present, with Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, HSDPA, GPS and all the sensors we've come to expect from HTC - g sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor.
Vodafone is (like T-Mobile) offering the phone for free on certain contracts.
