The Xbox 360 LIVE dashboard is getting a bit of a spruce up ahead of the Kinect launch on 10 November.

First up, Microsoft has announced that MSN content will now find its way onto the console, via the Inside Xbox channel "providing users direct access via the Xbox LIVE dashboard to exclusive MSN Entertainment video content including MSN Celebrity, MSN Movies and MSN Music".

The tech giant is stating that this will give Xbox users a direct gateway to the "UK's number one news, lifestyle and entertainment portal".

As well as the MSN content, Marc Whitten, Xbox LIVE's general manager has stated that Video Kinect will integrate with Windows Live Messenger right from the off, meaning that you'll be able to chat with your buddies directly from your Dashboard.

Whitten also announced a raft of new Dashboard features including new ESPN3 offerings and a revamped Zune marketplace. Microsoft has also released a 23-minute walk-through video showing these new elements in all of their glory.
