MSI has announced specifications on their latest notebook, the MSI Megabook S271 notebook.

The flagship product is powered by a Turion 64, X2 dual core Platform processor, which is AMD's answer to Intel's Pentium M dual-core technology.

The S271 comes in an Al-Mg alloy case, has a high-definition Super Glare Type 12.1inch 16:10 WXGA LCD, embedded ATi UMA graphic interface and Express Card Slot.

Other features include MSI's Dual CoreCell, which applies silence energy-saving technology to reduce fan operation, and 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 wireless communication.

The body measures just 2cm in thickness and weighs less than 2kgs in weight, including the battery.

Pocket-lint is awaiting pricing confirmation.
