PHOTOS: Casio H20G hands on

Casio made a big splash at Photokina with two cameras, but if was the EX-H20G that really took the limelight with its geo-photography.

The 1/2.3-inch CCD 14-megapixel machine comes built with Casio's hybrid location system which combines both GPS and motion sensing to determine exactly where you and your compact are at all times. What this means is that you can geo-tag your snaps even when you're indoors or underground - something not possible with straight GPS.

Once captured, the H20G can also place all your shot locations on dedicated mapping software included and show them all on the 3-inch LCD, and, because the camera knows where it is when you turn it on and off, it will even create a route and display where and how you got around.

The compact also comes with a 10,000-strong tourist attraction database which it will recongise from your shots and tag accordingly as well as alert you too when you happen to be nearby one of them.
