Sky is adding to its range of HD broadcasts by bringing the Ryder Cup to Sky Sports HD.

The Ryder Cup will be played from 22nd to the 24th September at the K Club in County Kildare, Ireland.

At the moment, Sky Sports HD offers Barclays Premiership football as well as Premiership rugby and domestic cricket matches.

David Tippett, Executive producer of golf on Sky said, "HD will not only bring viewers closer to what is happening on the course: the players' emoterions, the atmosphere of the galleries, the contours of the greens, but also it will bring out the unique landscape of the K Club, and bring it to life".
