RIM Surf Book trademark filed

What could it be working on?

RIM Surf Book trademark filed. Phones, Tablets, BlackBerry, RIM, Surf Book, BlackPad 0

20 September 2010 23:55 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Remember the BlackPad? Neither does RIM, however the Canadian company has just been spotted registering the trademark for "Surf Book" in Canada.

Although no request can be found in trademark offices elsewhere in the world, an application for the trademark has been made to the the Canadian Intellectual PropertyOffice (CIPO) for proposed use in Canada.

Unfortunately for BlackBerry fans there's no word on the trademark application as to what the trademark is expected to be used for fuelling conspiracy theories as long as your arm as to what it could be.

Will it be a tablet? Will it be a netbook, a companion device, or just a new browser widget?
