PHOTOKINA 2010: Live HD undersea broadcast at world's largest camera show

Epson brings the Red Sea to Germany

Epson has left its high end, underwater projectors at the bottom of the Red Sea while the company is off at Photokina 2010 in Cologne. On the plus side, there's a broadcast crew just off the coast of Eilat, Israel, who'll be beaming back live picture of the marine flora and fauna in HD for all the Europe-based camera show to enjoy.

The project is part of an ongoing relationship Epson has with an Eco Vision as well as a sub-aqua photographic competition it runs each year, the Epson Red Sea Competition, the entries to which will also be on show at Photokina.

Those along at the Messe in Cologne can head down, appreciate the shots, the results from these high end projectors and even have a chance to interact live with the underwater team in Israel as well.
