Motorola has confirmed that it will be adding Flash 10.1 support to its popular Motorola Milestone handset when it gets the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update shortly.

The news means that those looking to watch Flash based TV shows, Movies, and adverts on their phone on the go will be able to do so.

"Hello. Given some questions raised recently from the community and on the web, we wanted to confirm that Flash 10.1 will be supported in the planned upgrade of Milestone to Android 2.2," Motorola said on its official Facebook fan place.

Motorola has previously said that the Android 2.2 upgrade for Milestone will be available in Europe starting end of this year.

The Milestone has of course been superseded by the Milestone 2, it already runs Android 2.2.

We will keep you posted.
