Alienware has issued two special edition Superman PCs: the Area-51 Superman Edition Desktop and the Area-51 Superman Returns Edition Notebook.

The Notebook is limited to just 350, while 250 of the Desktops are up for grabs.

The notebook features an "S" shield logo on the top of the blue casing, as well as an exlusive desktop skin of the last son of Krypton. It's powered by an Intel Core Duo Processor and has a 17-inch display.

As expected of a gaming PC, it comes with the latest ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics card and can hold two hard drives for maximum storage capability of 200Gb.

Connectivity options include four USB2.0 ports, one S-video out connector, IEEE1394 and IEEE 1394A port and an Intel HD 7.1 Channel out (S/PDIF)/Line-in, microphone in, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, and a new Express Card slot.

The special-edition desktop comes with the Superman desktop theme, and is decorated on the casing with Superman artwork by DC Comics artist Tommy Lee. It uses Intel Viiv technology and a dual-core processor up to 3.4GHz for extra power.
