Nokia attempted a little subterfuge today, sending minions to stand outside the HTC launch event, taking place in London today. Nokia World 2010 is also being hosted in London this year.

A handful of desperate-looking individuals showed up with red balloons reading "I know where I'm going with Nokia's Ovi Maps".

If that's the case, why have you turned up outside an HTC event – did you get lost? Anyone would think they'd never heard of Google Maps Navigation.

Nokia also took a swipe at Google Maps at their keynote speech yesterday at the opening of Nokia World 2010 in London, pointing out that Ovi Maps contains better pedestrian mapping.

We can't help thinking the joke's on Nokia, a desperate stunt from a desperate company?
