Nokia today announced the C7, big brother to the C6 we've seen on various occasions previously, and pitched as a social smartphone, more affordable than the N8 or E7 devices.
The C7 is a full touch device, with a 3.5-inch AMOLED display on the front with a 640 x 360 pixel resolution. This is set into a headset that measures 117.3 x 56.8 x 10.5mm and owes much of its design to previous Nokia handsets.
Despite being pitched as a social mobile, it contains the same social networking set-up that is inherently central to Nokia's new Symbian 3 operating system that this phone runs on, bringing Twitter and Facebook together and letting you link into your contacts and calendar.
Around the back is an 8-megapixel camera which gives you 720p video capture, ably lit by a dual LED flash arrangement.
Much of the look and feel of the OS is the same as we've seen on the N8 and the E7 (being a S^3 device).
The stainless steel and glass fusion feels good in the hand, although it isn't a patch on the E7 or N8 flagship handsets.
All the details are over in the news story, but we thought we'd bring you a couple of hands-on shots of the new handset direct from Nokia World 2010, currently running in London.
Due to be landing in Q4 2010, we're yet to hear which networks will be stocking the phone.
