Windows Phone is sponsoring the Secret Cinema events this year, and it seems as if those movie-buffs lucky enough to get tickets to the screening of Lawrence of Arabia over the weekend, also got a sneaky peak at the new Windows Phone 7 UI via a David Lean inspired teaser advert.

The video doesn't show us anything we haven't seen in action already, but we think it's kind of cool the way Microsoft is drumming up attention for the new OS by using phrases like: "The Revolution is Coming".

It's obvious that Gates, Ballmer and co have high hopes for the latest Microsoft mobile incumbent and we at Pocket-lint think this is a good thing.

It's kind of boring that the mobile OS mantle is a two-way fight between Apple and Google. A three-way squabble would be much more interesting.

The more choice the merrier we say, and increased competition should, we hope, mean a wealth of innovation for mobile users.

Are you excited by Windows Phone 7, or will it just another Microsoft mobile muck-up? Let us know using the comments below.
