Five to launch Five US and Five life

Two channels expected to hit the air this autumn

Five is launching two new channels to go across all digital platforms.

The channels, Five US and Five life, will go on air this Autumn.

Five US will provide drama, comedy, films, sports and youth programming from America, whereas Five life will feature children's programs, films, drama, soaps, and lifestyle shows geared toward women.

Both channels will be launched on Freeview, and be available on satellite and cable.

Chief Executive, Jane Lighting, said, "We believe these two channels will play to our programming strengths, highlighting genres in which we have an acknowledged track record".
