Sandisk has announced the latest budget PMP in its range - the Sansa Fuze+.
The Sansa Fuze+ has a 2.4-inch, QVGA, LCD touchscreen that, according to the flash memory specialist, "produces sharp, vibrant images when viewing videos or photos".
You can swipe through the apps on the device - Music, Video, Podcasts, FM Radio and Photos - and then scroll up or down for more details on your selected function.
There's a microSD function on board if the built-in memory isn't enough (4GB, 8GB or 16GB) which is also compatible with SanDisk's pre-loaded slotRadio cards.
You'll be able to drag and drop tunes, images or videos straight onto the device without any bother from a Windows, Mac or Linux machine, and the Fuze+ is also preconfigured for synchronisation with Rhapsody, eMusic and Napster.
File-compatibility is very impressive with an absolute wealth of media file-types supported including MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, Audible, Secure WMA, H.264, MPEG-4, WMV, Flip Video, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, GIF and PNG.
You'll get 24 hours of audio playback or 5 hours of video and there's also a recordable FM radio on board as well.
Available in a choice of red, white, black, blue and purple, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ is out now in the US and costs $79 (4GB), $89 (8GB) or $119 (16GB).
There's no news yet as to when they'll be hitting British shores, but we'll keep you updated.
