Here's to you... The Pocket-lint reader

New figures state that we've doubled our audience

Here's to you... The Pocket-lint reader

Pocket-lint would like to extend a massive "thank you" to all readers who have helped double the site's readership in the last year.

Google Analytics figures from August 2010 show that we've increased our unique visits by 100 per cent year-on-year, with a new monthly figure of 1.5 million, and that is entirely down to you for both your site loyalty and for spreading the word.

Indeed, yesterday, 30 August 2010, outperformed the equivalent day last year by over 200 per cent - not bad for a month traditionally associated with holidays and outdoor pursuits rather than home and mobile entertainment.

Of course, that doesn't mean that we'll rest on our laurels. Even as of tomorrow (1 September), we'll be beavering away in order to give you the up-to-the-minute reports from the Apple "Special Event" press conference and the fun toys Steve Jobs will announce to the world.

Plus, a large contingent of the Pocket-lint team is off to IFA Berlin, Germany, to bring you all the news as it breaks from the floor of the biggest consumer electronics show in Europe.

And that's just this week. You should see what we have planned for the rest of the year...

So, give yourself a hearty pat on the back for helping Pocket-lint achieve such a lofty goal, and we hope you'll continue to follow us as we strive for greater things. Salut.
