App of the Day always tries to bring you the very best, the cream of the crop. Every app we test and report on being the juiciest, ripest, tastiest of its variety. Just put it this way; if the man from Del Monte worked for Pocket-lint he'd say "YES" to every one.
And after having been a little on the green side at launch, this particular app is just about ready for picking due to its 2.1 update on 6 August 2010.
Music fans, buffs and geeks get ready for the app of your dreams with This Day In Music.
This Day In Music

Facts are what you get with this app, or rather music facts to be precise. What used to be the preserve of the geeky music fiend is now open to all thanks to this app, which delivers all the top tunes trivia you could possibly want.

So what exactly do you get? Well as the name of the app suggests you'll get a rundown of all the major happenings in the world of music; a daily guide, featuring facts, figures, dates, times, places and musicians that "made rock and pop the most vibrant art form of the 20th and 21st centuries".
There's also a super-duper quiz to test your music knowledge, a birthday number ones feature, as well as a whole host of music facts - over 5000 apparently - to bore friends and family alike.
Yes it's a little on the pricey side, but if you're into music and want an app to show it then it appears to be well worth the cash.
