LG adds some colour to washing machines

LG teams up with Designers Guild to issue limited-edition decorated home appliances

The limited-edition version of LG's Steam Direct Drive comes in four designs—Cloisonne, Imperial Flower, Sevilla, and Ribailagua—courtesy of Designers Guild.

The Steam Direct Drive itself is a wonder of modern technology, featuring a Dual Spray system that promises to improve washing performance and eco-friendly technology that, according to LG, uses 35% less water than traditional washers.

And for those of you that hate ironing as much as we do, the machine promises to eliminate the task by steaming clothes to remove creases in 20 minutes.

There's also the option of a remote monitoring system that lets you check on your washing from anywhere in the house, but we're not exactly sure how that works yet.
