Kodak Playtouch adds to the mini-cam explosion

Mini-camcorder fans have been spoiled as of late with a host of tiny HD video shooters hitting the market. We've seen efforts from Panasonic (the HM-TA1), Samsung (the HMX-E10) and even a 3D shooter from Aiptek.

And now, Kodak has come to the party with its latest mini-HD camcorder, the Kodak Playtouch.

Capable of shooting 1080p on the fly, as well as 5-megapixel stills, the Playtouch has a USB flip-out arm for easy transfer to your PC, and a share button for even easier transfer to Facebook or YouTube.

It also includes image stabilisation and face detection and your action is viewable on its 3-inch capacitive touchscreen that has LCD anti-glare tech built in.

You've also got HDMI out on board as well as on camera editing for when you can't be bothered to fire up your movie editing software.

The Kodak Playtouch is out "this fall" and its US price has been confirmed as $229.95. It's available in black, chrome, magenta, orange and blue.

We'll get you the UK pricing details as soon as we can.
