It's not out until 2011, but that didn't stop Sony teasing attendees of its Gamescom 2010 press conference with the announcement that Resistance 3 is in production and coming to a PS3 near you soon.

Neither Sony or Insomniac Games is letting much out at this stage, although as the trailer above shows it looks like you'll play a vagabond heading to what looks like New York City to do battle with the Chimera once again.

The teaser trailer offers a slow build up, but it's worth sitting it out, it gets brutal at the end.
