Sky News and blinkx have signed an agreement to bring hundreds of news clips to www.blinkx.tv.

The Sky News clips will cover a wide range of topics, including world news, entertainment and financial news and updates. As part of the deal, blinkx will index and transcribe Sky News' content so that users find what they want more easily.

"We are delighted that blinkx is showcasing our brand and range of exciting content. It's increasingly important for Sky News to be represented in the non-linear environment", said Steve Bennedik, editor of Sky News Networked Media.

Blinx.tv already features clips from partners like NBC, HBO, UKTV, Fox News, CNN, and Reuters.

Its sister software, blinkx Pico, is a free search engine download that links users to information in any format whether it be on the Web, in the news, or on the desk, and retrieves information based on the content viewed.
