Better charging says Apple

Apple Battery Charger to power your desktop gadgets

With more and more desktop gadgets in Apple's stable using regular AA batteries, the company has created and launched a battery charger (exciting we know) to help you save cash and the environment.

The new Apple Battery Charger "has the lowest standby power usage value - or 'vampire draw' - of any similar charger on the market", claims Apple.

It's able to make that claim, because Apple says that once the batteries are done charging it automatically reduces the amount of power it continues to need.

The charger comes with six high-performance AA NiMH batteries: two for your keyboard, two for your mouse or trackpad, although you can only charge two batteries at a time.

Oh, and did we tell you the batteries themselves are silver, so they will fit in with your keyboard and shiny new Magic Trackpad.

Yours for $29 or £25.
