The Queen adds Flickr to ones social media

Don't expect any personal shots from the Saxe-Coburg-Gothas though

The Queen, already an avid tweeter and serial YouTube uploader, has signed up for an account on Flickr (and it looks as if she's forked out for a Pro account as well).

No, we're not really silly enough to think that the Queen actually tweets or goes to the bother of encoding her own video uploads, so it's fairly obvious that the Flickr account is not actually going to be her own personal stream.

So don't go on there expecting to see candid pics of the Duke of Edinburgh piddled out of his mind, swigging from a bottle of a 1787 Chateau d'Yquem.

What you are likely to see are lots of shots of the Royals out and about, as well as some pretty interesting shots from history - such as these early shots of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

So, head on over to the official British Monarchy Stream and take a look for yourself. And be sure to let us know if you find any from Liz and Phil's private collection. (Not that sort of private, they're in their 80s - get your minds out of the gutter).
