What were you doing during your lunch hour today? If you're planning a big weekend in honour of the Bank Holiday, you were likely to be withdrawing cash along with thousands of others this lunchtime.

Here's a fact to ponder over your tea this afternoon: according to the UK cash machine network operator Link, on the Friday before the May Bank Holiday 4 weeks ago, over 300 people per second withdrew cash at exactly 1:13pm in preperation of the long weekend ahead.
