Microsoft's new slogan: "Be What's Next"

New squiggly logos too

Microsoft's new slogan:

22 July 2010 16:10 GMT / By Paul Lamkin

Be What's Next.

It's good but it's not right as our old mucker Roy Walker would say.

We can see what Microsoft is trying to do here - a sort of cerebral attempt at getting us into the mindset, where we think that by buying Microsoft products, or by using its services, we will be ahead of the game rather than concatenating with all the other sheep.

However, try as we might, we can't help but think that Microsoft's new tagline, which was unveiled at its annual MGX conference, sounds like something Yoda would say.

However, we are rather fond of the minimalist squiggle logos that were also unveiled. These aren't going to replace the existing logos, they are merely part of the new campaign. Yes, they look as if a 4-year-old could have drawn them, but they're quite charming we think.

If you disagree, well that's your prerogative. Just be sure to fill out the comments below to let us know why. And while you're at it - let us know what you think of the new slogan.

"Hmmmm, be what's next, he says. The boy you trained, gone he is. Consumed by Steve Jobs".
