We reviewed the Creative Zen MX MP3 player last year and found it to be a very capable little device, as it scored a not-to-be-sniffed-at 8/10 score.
Therefore, when we spotted it for under £50 at Amazon, we thought it worth a mention as it offers real value for money, sporting a 32-station FM radio, voice recorder, calendar, contacts, task-list, alarm and an SD-card slot for upping the already impressive 8GB capacity.
There is also a 16GB version available for £69.99, but as you'll probably end up splashing out on the SD card anyway it's better to save your cash by buying the 8GB and put it towards the external memory boost.
Other nice touches are its 2.5-inch display and intuitive UI, meaning navigating around the menus is kept nice and easy. Add to this its slim proportions and you have the ability to carry around a substantial amount of media for a very low cost.
