Today's website of the day is thanksno.com a webpage that will help you let friends who bombard you with junk mail that you aren't really interested.

The site, created as an experiment in social re-engineering simply tells the recipient that "The person who sent you this link is a friend who likes you a lot but who wants you to respect their email address, their privacy, and their time."

Visitors to the site are told that they've been sent the link to the site for three reasons:

1. Forwarded a funny story, a virus warning, or a photo that you enjoyed
2. Sent email to lots of people using the “To:” line (instead of the “BCC:” line), thereby exposing your friend's email address to strangers
3. CC’d your friend unnecessarily on something you had sent primarily to someone else

And even goes as far as offering you a simple cut and paste sentence that you can send back without even having to think about it
