Websites tune into fans wanting to follow World Cup action

Pocket-lint's round up as football fever begins

Dedicated fans unable to get to the World Cup in Germany this summer are being offered a bevy of internet sites to catch up on the games.

First up is NTL's dedicated World Cup website that promises daily news, video clips and news, and city and stadium guides for those lucky enough to go to Germany.

Competition prizes include a holiday for two to the country of the winning team, as well as DVDs, signed books, and merchandise.

Meanwhile, if you can't bear to wait for match results, download Envi.con's application for PDA's and smartphones.

World Cup Mobile 2006 brings the latest match standings, team lineups, detailed descriptions of games, and news directly to your pocket PC.
