Spoiler alert—The BBC has revealed that two of the main characters who were shot in the season four cliffhanger of Spooks live to see another day.

Harry Pearce and Adam Carter are back this autumn to fight the forces of evil and keep Britain safe.

Upcoming storylines promise not to disappoint ardent fans, with plots including a home-grown Al Qaeda cell planning an attack on London, and the US administration selling arms to African dictators.

If past series are anything to go by, gadget lovers will be pleased to see characters using the latest mobiles and being equipped with cutting-edge surveillance technology.
