Keep thieves at bay with handy locking system

Bendy bike: A new twist on cycling

9 July 2010 11:30 GMT / By Paul Lamkin

It's not often that we see something we like in The Daily Mail. Especially something with a tech angle.

But today we bring you a light-hearted tale from the Mail (we bet you never thought you'd see those words in the same sentence) of a brilliant simply bendy bike design.

The bicycle, designed by 21-year-old Kevin Scott, is flexible enough to bend around a lamppost using a built-in ratchet  - making it a breeze to lock up both the frame and the wheel at the same time.

Scott's bendy bike is currently on show at the New Designers show at the Business Design Centre in Islington, north London. Quick, go and have a look before Boris bans it.
