iRiver keeps it simple with T8 Dongle MP3 player

The iRiver T8 is a strange little creature. Strange but kind of cool at the same time. Basically it's a mini-MP3 player, USB flash drive, dictaphone and portable radio all in one.

Despite being only a fraction larger than your average USB flash drive (26 x 83.5 x 12.8mm), it still manages to include a mono OLED screen so you can scroll through the music you've dragged and dropped on there.

You'll get 15 hours of music playback from your MP3 collection. It can also play WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC, OGG and AAC files too.

There's also a built in FM radio, complete with radio recording (in WMA format). Voice recording is also possible as well (also WMA format).

It comes with either 2 or 4GB of NAND flash memory and it's available in a variety of colours.

We're just waiting to hear back from our iRiver contacts with regards to pricing and availability, so check back here for any updates.

Update: No price news yet, but we're told the T8 will appear on Amazon and Play soon.

Update 2: The 2GB version will have a RRP of £39.99, it's £10 more for the 4GB one.
