Moonbase Alpha, the official NASA MMO will be released onto the Steam network on 6 July.

The game, which has been in private beta testing for a while now, features realistic NASA exploration scenarios with 3D graphics. You'll be part of a moon exploration team living on the moon itself in a lunar village.

The game has all the usual MMO features including VoIP and text chat.

With Barack Obama cutting NASA's funding and ending hopes of a moon return in the near future, Moonbase Alpha is likely to be the only moon action you're going to see for a while.

Check out the trailer, and let us know what you think.
