The Samsung Wave 8500 has only just landed but that hasn't stopped Samsung from following it up with two new Wave additions.

The Korean giant announced the new handsets over at the CommunicAsia 2010 expo in Singapore. The Wave 2 5250 and the Wave 2 Pro 5330 are both running Samsung's Bada OS with the TouchWiz (3.0) interface. Both have 3.2-inch touchscreens, and the Wave 2 (pictured) has a slide out QWERTY keypad.

These aren't direct sequels to their Wave namesake, more like entry level additions to the range. Sadly there's no 3G connectivity on board although there is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 and both also feature a 3-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities.

The Samsung Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro will be available from August in Russia and South East Asia and users will be able to choose from three colours - metallic black, pearl white and romantic pink.

No news yet as to whether we're going to see these handsets in the UK, but we'll let you know if there are any further announcements.
