You may remember we told you about Samsung's in development tablet, the sPad, a couple of weeks back. Well, you can wipe that sPad title from your brain because we have now discovered that the 7-inch Super AMOLED tablet device will, in fact, be called the Samsung Galaxy Tape.

It's not just a new name that has been uncovered though. More details have emerged regarding the tablet's spec - which we have to admit sounds pretty bloomin' impressive.

First up, it will be running Froyo. That's right, Android 2.2 is on board although it's still expected that the device will feature Samsung's TouchWiz user interface.

Chip wise, you can expect a zippy 1.2GHz A8 processor. There will be 16GB of built in storage and you'll be able to add another 32GB via the microSD slot provided. There's a 4,000mAH battery powering the device and it weighs in at 370g.

We're expecting the Samsung Galaxy Tape to hit the South Korean market around August but, as of yet, we have no indication as to when it will receive a worldwide launch. As ever, we'll keep you posted.
